World of Warcraft’s latest expansion, entitled Legion which released last year, was very well received amongst fans and critics alike, with generally high review scores across the board. It was also nominated for four awards in 2016, winning two of them for best PC exclusive and best MMO as part of the Game Informer Best of 2016 Awards.
Still, it has been met with criticism by a portion of fans, who have taken to the official forums to discuss what they didn’t like about the expansion. Starting off the discussion was Caralan, who suggested some of the worst features being the Legendary and Titanforging system, the AP grind and world quests.
MVP member Shammoz responded:
The top annoyance for me is the Suramar rep grind. I get it on your first char, but for alts it’s a total pain and if that rep gate was removed, it would solve the AP grind issue as those quests get gazillions (well… okay thats a bit overstated but TONS).
There is quite a mixed bag of responses, though a common theme does appear to be grinding in some form or other. Some point out imbalances in PvP, timegating and artificial restrictions to be the most troublesome features in the latest WoW add on. That being said, in a general sense the expansion has been well received so far, and as the original post refers to, we’ve only seen around a third of the content to date.
