Player Vs. Player combat, or PvP, is an integral part of the MMO or MMORPG experience. But after a while, if it’s not fine tuned, or made interesting, or continually interesting, things will go wrong. This is the case of World of Warcraft, as apparently PvP play is at an all-time low, with numbers plummeting in regards to interaction.
What’s worse, as players reveal, when they offer ideas on how to improve it, they have to do it via a “Suggestion Tool” , which has a character limit of 500. And while that can give some ideas, it doesn’t allow for a lot of depth and detail. So, one World of Warcraft player took to Battle.net to ensure his ideas were not only seen by more than one person, but also, could be explained to great detail.
Bakabubble (the players name) gave 8 suggestions on how to improve the game. And here are the highlights. First, he wants to bring back PvP vendors, as players are much more likely to play and work towards something. Second, make Marks of Honours useful. He notes that he has 30 of them in his bag, and yet he doesn’t have any way to use them. Third, healers. There’s not a lot of healers in PvP right now, and it shows. He suggests that players who do healing get rewarded in a unique way so that it’ll encourage them to come to PvP.
Arguably most important, he wants progression and rewards in PvP altered dramatically. He believes they’re a joke, and it’s no fun doing PvP without a reward that means something to ALL players and not just some of them.
You can read his full suggestions below, but don’t be afraid to let us know what YOU want different in World of Warcraft’s PvP mode. You never know, your suggestions could be heard!
