Wargaming’s massively multiplayer online game World of Tanks has released its latest update. The 3.0 update brings about great news for fans of the free-to-play game with a wealth of new content, bug fixes and improvements.
New features include Supremacy Mode, which challenges players to both defend and conquer flags across the map. Victory can be claimed by destroying the opposing team or earning a total of 1000 victory points to secure the win. This mode will be available for those using tanks in Battle Tier VI or above, and plans are in place to add the new mode to training rooms in the near future. Also, 16 vehicles for tier V, VI, VIII, and X have also increased in profitability, bringing in more credits than ever before. As well as tweaking a selection of maps, bug fixes that caused crashes and delays have also been addressed. The full list of improvements can be found here.
The freemium modeled warfare game has been well received since its inception in 2010. The microtransaction revenue is proof of its popularity, surpassing the likes of World of Warcraft back in 2013, ranking it in the top 4 of revenues earned by online games. World of Tanks is available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
