Following two Beta weekends boasting almost 200,000 participants, World of Tanks Blitz is available today on Steam.
Players who have experienced World of Tanks Blitz can now take to the battlefield to test their skills against PC players. This new cross-platform matchmaker adds a completely new challenge to playing Blitz, though it is up to the player to decide whether or not they choose to venture into cross-platform, or stick with the single platform against other iOS and Android users.
Thanks to the high numbers of participation in the Beta weekends, World of Tanks Blitz was able to test these new grounds and act on player feedback to improve the experience. Taking Blitz over to Steam was a natural move for the game, according to World of Tanks Blitz Publishing Product Director Andrey Ryabovol.
“With the game already available on Windows, Google and Apple stores, Steam was a natural step,” he stated. “We want to give our players freedom when choosing where, when, and through which channels they want to play World of Tanks Blitz. We’d like to welcome our new players and encourage everyone to join in and have fun battling across iOS, Android, Mac OS X, and Windows devices.”
The release of World of Tanks Blitz on Steam will allow players to also grab four different Pioneer Packs, including unique tanks such as the Panther 8.8, VK 45.03 and Großtraktor Krupp. The steam camouflage “Breakthrough” will also be available on compatible devices starting from today until November 18th.
World of Tanks Blitz is now available on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and Mac OS X.
