With games like World of Warcraft, the next big expansion is always something that players look forward to for one reason or another. Sometimes it’s because it means something new and fresh is coming. Other times they hope that it’ll improve the situation from where the game is now. And a few just want to have fun in a new way and believe that the expansion will do just that. Many fans believe that the current expansion, Legion, is wrapping up, and thus Blizzard will announce the next expansion soon. But what will be in it?

Well, a lot of Battle.net players decided to weigh in on what they would like to see in the game. First, the maker of the thread, Nevian says,

“I’d personally really enjoy a much, much larger world to explore. With endless enchanted woods and deep cunning caverns so dark you can’t see a thing without a torch or magic.”

Expansion of lands certainly isn’t out of the question, as World of Warcraft has done that many times via its expansions. Some other requests include the idea of bringing some light back into the world, as Legion and other expansions are very “doom and gloom”, and players are growing tired of the constant “world-ending threats”. However, a few still want the factions to be united, as it only makes sense given that something COULD arrive to destroy the world at any moment, and the in-fighting is tiresome in their eyes.

A common thread is that they want some tweaks to a certain item acquisition:

“More raids, less RNG crap (especially legendary nonsense, where result isn’t tied to the effort at all),” states Kosolapik.

RNG is a common one for sure, as a lot of players aren’t happy with the reliance World of Warcraft seems to have on it. What would you like to see in the next expansion? Let us know in the comments below.
