Bethesda has announced at their E3 conference that Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus will be coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 27th, 2017.
All that was shown at Bethesda’s briefing is scheduled for release this year, and the Wolfenstein sequel is no exception, as MachineGames look set to bring the fight to the Nazi war machine once more. Showcasing the game in a trailer, which you can see below, The New Colossus sees the return of mainstay protagonist BJ Blazkowicz (also known as Terror-Billy) who will join forces with resistance fighters to save America.
Taking place in 1961, players will travel from Roswell, New Mexico through to New Orleans and onto New York in a post-nuclear state. As Blazkowicz attempts to take on the Nazi regime once again, the stakes couldn’t appear to be higher in what looks to be yet another high octane entry in the classic first-person shooter franchise.
An official statement from Bethesda read:
“Equip an arsenal of badass guns, and unleash new abilities to blast your way through legions of advanced Nazi soldiers, cyborgs, and über soldiers in this definitive first-person shooter”
Wolfenstein has had a new lease of life since the release of The New Order, and The New Colossus looks to continue that momentum when it launches later this year on October 27th.
