We’ve seen plenty of fans show uncertainty when it comes to the upcoming release of Destiny 2. The highly anticipated sequel has been under fire from certain groups of fans who are skeptical about what the next game entails, be that from being burned by the way new content was rolled out for the original game, imbalances between PvP and PvE, or otherwise. Some fears may have been alleviated with the console beta that took place not so long ago, though that wasn’t without it’s critics, either.
One key aspect that is on the minds of Destiny fans is how the game’s story will pan out, and whether or not it will be captivating enough to shout about. Whilst we have heard already that there will be lore aplenty and a narrative to delve into in the sequel, it is still uncertain whether that will be the case at this stage.
Responses are a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the Bungie community. In a thread posted to put the feelers out to see how confident fellow fans are in the game’s story. The original post reads:
After the leaked information about the story, and everything else included, I can happily express that I do have confidence in Destiny 2’s story.
Not everyone has the same confidence, with replies from the likes of Lomnillo:
I’m worried for the D2 story and I’m also worried that we won’t find answers about the D1 interrogatives.
Whilst others, such as ingsoc30, are putting focus elsewhere:
Could care less about the story. Didn’t matter in D1. It was all about the gameplay and loot.
