There’s been a desire recently to get some of the classic games from earlier console generations on modern platforms. For Natsume Inc., the team that is known for Harvest Moon among other titles, they brought the classic SNES title Wild Guns to PS4 last year, and then announced that the remake, Wild Guns Reloaded, would be coming to PC via Steam. Interestingly enough, this is the first Wild Guns game to ever come to PC. In fact, this will be one of the games featured at the Natsume Inc. booth at E3 this year.
“Not only is this the first time a Wild Guns game will be available on PC platform, but this is also the first PC launch for Natsume,” said Hiro Maekawa, President & CEO of Natsume in a press release “We are proud to bring this classic and beloved franchise to a whole new community of players, and know that they will embrace it just as Nintendo and Sony players have over the years.”
In case you don’t know the game, Wild Guns Reloaded is about a girl named Annie, who has tracked down the famed bounty hunter Clint to get revenge on the Kid Gang. The game has eight stages, each with three zones to get through, which is not an easy task. Thus, there’s plenty of bad robots to blast and shoot to your hearts content. This is a true classic title, from back in the days of good old-fashioned arcade-style shooters. Fun fact, Wild Guns was the first sci-fi western to be on home consoles, and if you ask around, many will say there’s nothing quite like Wild Guns. And since this is Wild Guns Reloaded, it’s even an enhanced version of the game.
In fact, Wild Guns Reloaded isn’t just bringing updated graphics to the mix, but also gives you two new characters, each with their own special weapons and tactics. Plus, 4 players can play at the same time. So if you haven’t gotten to partake in the Wild Guns fun yet, this will be a good place to start, whether it’s on PC or PS4.
