Players have been talking a lot about World of Warcraft: Legion recently. Some have wondered whether Sargeras would be the final boss for the games expansion, or whether someone else should be the final boss. Some have wondered about whether Blizzard should fix some of the bigger problems that the community has outlined. And some, some are just wondering what’s next.
The upcoming patch/content update for World of Warcraft, called 7.2, is said to feature the Tomb Sargeras, which many on Battle.net believe will be the place where we fight the Titan Sargeras, and then subsequently beat Legion. However, not everyone is so sure. One person notes that there will be a 7.3, which will feature Argus, but no other information is known on it. Furthermore, that user also states that the tomb may not contain Sargeras, but rather, his avatar, thus leaving the Titan to be fought and killed another day.
Some are still debating whether Sargeras SHOULD be a boss at all. For as many state, he’s supposed to be unkillable, and though players in World of Warcraft have beaten “unkillable” enemies like Deathwing and Ragnaros, Sargeras is on a much higher plane of existence and power, so in theory, he shouldn’t be able to die by player hands. Thus the widely believed idea that it’ll be an avatar of him that’s the boss, and not him himself.
Some have even gone so far as to note that if Sargeras is dead, then World of Warcraft is done, likely completely, because he’s been the “big bad” behind many of the events of the game. So if he’s gone, who could take his place?
Some fans believe this might be true, and thus hope the next expansions are more “peaceful” ones, like Mists of Pandaria. As one user notes, “It’s not the end of the world every day.”
