The release of Watch Dogs 2 is getting ever closer, and this early gameplay footage is certain to get fans interested in how the game works. More importantly, it showcases how the game intends to improve on the previous Watch Dogs game, which suffered plentiful criticism from fans and critics alike. This was mainly down to the obvious differences between the game’s target visuals and the final design when it actually released.
Early indications of Watch Dogs 2 suggest that it has improved on some of the complaints from its predecessor, and building upon the foundations that the game initially laid down. The Ubisoft sequel continues to follow vigilante hacktivists, taking place in the streets of San Francisco, as hackers clash with big corporations. “Our goal is to make the place feel real.” Said Watch Dogs 2 game director Danny Belanger. “We want to capture the spirit of the location. Obviously its not 1:1. You have to make choices. We try to pick what we think is the most important.”
The story follows young hacker Marcus Holloway living in the technological revolution. Holloway’s journey begins as he fights back against the software running the city frames him for a crime he didn’t commit. Watch Dogs 2 is set for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 15th.
