Ok, I know that SOUNDS impossible because of the fact that Warframe is…well…a video game, but I assure you, this will make sense when you hear this story. Because what the story is, is a tale of a woman who likes this game so much that instead of sleeping, she played Warframe, and because of this, she was awake when her dog needed her the absolute most, and that resulted in its life being spared.
So, this woman, who goes by tasha4life on Reddit, reveals that she herself had had a surgery recently, and because of it, her sleep schedule had been totally out of whack. Understandable, right? Her dog, Bella, was a good companion and helped her in the hard times during her recovery. One night, she woke up around 11 pm and logged into Warframe. Everything good, right?
She starts to mess with her character, goes through some training, all the while Bella being at her side. However, during her session, she realized that Bella wasn’t breathing normally. At first, she didn’t think much of it, but then it starting getting more serious. Bella wouldn’t eat, drink, and she could barely move. Something was going on, and she didn’t know what.
Thus, she took Bella to the Vet first thing in the morning, and it became immediately clear just how bad things were for her dog. In fact, the vets actually recommended putting her down to save her time and money. Yeah, she had none of that!
A few stressful days later, Bella became much more stable, and though she’s not out of the woods yet, she’s at least still here.
Still wondering how Warframe figured into all of this? Well, we’ll let her speak on its importance in this issue:
“Anyway, if Warframe was less addictive, more transparent, less fun, more anything, I would have been asleep and Bella would have passed away by 11:00am today.”
See? And they say video games can’t change lives.
