For fans of the franchise and those who missed out when the movie hit theatres back in June, Warcraft will be available digitally on September 13th. A couple of weeks later WoW fans can get their hands on a Blu-ray, DVD and 4K Ultra HD edition of the film on September 27th.
It may be worth holding out for the later physical release, as there is a plethora of added goodies for doing so. For those who pick up the Blu-ray version, there are a few exclusive bonuses including a documentary on bringing the game to the big screen and showcasing stunts and cast features, a motion comic following Captain Lothar, Prince Llane Guardian Medivh and a feature based on the wax figures of the WoW universe. Along with the Blu-ray version, the DVD will also feature a gag reel, deleted scenes and an in depth look at the technology behind the film.
Warcraft was originally announced back in May 2006, and was set to finally hit cinemas back in December 2015, but was pushed back to 2016 to avoid coinciding with the release of Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens. The film grossed a total of $433 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of all time based on a video game.
