Minecraft will be introducing the Better Together Update soon, which will create a hybrid of both console and mobile editions of the game. For now, the Console Edition of Minecraft will be updated, bringing brand new features, with other platforms to be updated to follow the Better Together Update.
The update includes features such as seven new achievements/trophies, as well as a new UI engine which will not only save a significant memory, but will also boost performance too. New animals will be introduced including Llamas and parrots, as well as a new Woodland Mansion and Treasure Maps. You can also expect an Observer Block, Totem of the Undying and bouncy/dyeable beds.
Before the Better Together update, other new inclusions will be implemented such as the option to change Biomes size to match other platforms, seeing as console sizes are smaller. This release also brings a couple of DLC packs, such as the ‘Giants’ Glide track pack, which features three aerobatic challenges where “players swoop around oversized furniture, weaving between the limbs of massive mobs, and even through the icky tubes within the human body itself!” The second DLC brings the second Mini Game Heroes skin pack, designed for elite Minecraft players.
So there’s plenty to be getting on with for Minecraft console players going forward, before the Better Together update is introduced. This update for console editions is bringing a wealth of new content, so be sure to indulge when it rolls out on console versions later on today.
