For video games, there’s supposed to be a rule of conduct. One that ensures that gamers play within the rules set by the developers, or even other gamers. This especially comes into play in multiplayer titles and MMOs. As the former may have specific rules so that one group of players doesn’t have an unfair advantage over the other. While in MMOs, you have to follow the guidelines for the server, and if a bug is presented, you have to try and not exploit it. Unfortunately, some players in Tree of Savior did not follow this rule, and now have paid the price.
In the game recently, there was a bug where players could actually timer on Mystic Cubes. Which in turn actually crashed channels of the game. While some people did do it, then stopped because they realized what was going on, some people decided to take it to the next level and abuse it. The problem was, the developers found out, and not only have they fixed the glitch, but they’re banning all who have used it beyond the scope.
As they note on their page, bans will depend greatly on the severity of the exploiter’s actions. But primarily, they are banning those who have abused this exploit. As for the length of the ban, the ban sentence can range from 7 days to permanent restriction of game access.
The team also apologizes for anyone affected by this glitch, and assure players that they have not only fixed it, but have fixed other issues that have risen in Tree of Savior because of this bug.
