Total War: Warhammer II brought together the massive fantasy world of Warhammer and fused it with the RTS gameplay of the Total War franchise. Together, they made not only an epic original title, but a sequel that has won won over fans and critics alike once again. But, the team at Creative Assembly and SEGA aren’t content to leave well enough alone. For today, they have released not one, but two major content packs for the game. And depending on how dedicated you are to the series, they could be free to download.
These packs are Blood for the Blood God II and Mortal Empires. Each of which add either story or additional content for players to enjoy at their leisure. Let’s break them down, shall we?
Blood for the Blood God II is a more addition, as the game brings in a number of bloody and gore-filled special effects to the fights in the game. You’ll get to paint the battlefields red with the blood of your enemies. As well as take part in randomized quests designed to give you plenty to kill, and then some. If you owned the original Blood for the Blood God pack for the original game, you’ll get this one free.
Then there’s Mortal Empires, an expansion that can only be gotten by those who own Total War: Warhammer and Total War: Warhammer II. For in this epic expansion you’ll get to take part in quests in areas from both games, as well as control any lord within either game. You’ll use them to go on campaigns that’ll literally add thousands of hours of gameplay to the title. That’s a lot of extra content, and one that we barely scratched the surface of in our description. If you have both games as required, Mortal Empires is free to download.
