Titanfall 2 was considered one of the highlights of 2016, and in 2017, the team at Respawn are focusing on ensuring the game remains in the minds of its players. With that, new modes and maps are coming, one of which is coming soon via the Live Fire Update. Though the content itself doesn’t have a release date yet, as the team wants to be 100% the content is ready before release, Respawn did release the Patch Notes so you can know exactly what’s coming. Here are the highlights.
First up, the Live Fire mode. This is a brand new game mode featuring Pilot vs. Pilot action in a 6v6 format. It’ll be done in rounds, and there will be no respawns. In the mode, you’ll have one minute to try and take out the enemy team, and win the round. There is also a flag in the mode, if you have that when the round ends, your team wins. First team to win 5 rounds first wins the match.
Aside from the mode itself, Live Fire does bring some new maps to Titanfall 2. First is Meadow, a grassy location that also has rocky terrain, giving you a lot of options about how to do the battle. Oh, and zip lines are in this level too.
Then, there’s Stacks, a more industrial location with paths, choke points, and a lot of vertical real estate so that you can attack high, or attack low.
In the, “Style Points” category, your Faction Leaders now have more animations. And will act them out during the beginning dropship sequence. There’s also new audio for the DLC Commander Intros. Finally, they added a new execution move called “Late Hit”. Which will have you do a slew of Stim-fuelled punches that pummel your enemy into oblivion.
This is but the tip of what Respawn is adding for the Live Fire update. Check out the Patch Notes page for more.
