THQ Nordic Announced That They Acquired All Of NovaLogic’s Franchises

THQ Nordic announced on October 30th, 2016 that they bought all of NovaLogic’s franchise, so now we know that the deal is finally closed.

John Garcia, the owner, founder and CEO of NovaLogic Inc., said:

“After 30 years of creating ground breaking Computer and Video Games we are proud to pass the baton to THQ Nordic. As individuals, they are enthusiastic gamers and as a company have shown the agility and acumen needed to propel our industry towards a much-needed reset”

THQ Nordic is really set on acquiring partly forgotten IPs of classic games, which they can use to remake the game, or even make a sequel! Most people will particularly be excited as among these IPs we have some exquisite first-person military themed shooters like the legendary Delta Force, Joint Ops or Comanche. If THQ Nordic takes a risk and develops a Delta Force game it could end up being something mindblowing, but it could also disappoint, so we’re yet to see what’s their next move.

Here are some assets that THQ Nordic now owns:

  • Delta Force Series
  • Comanche Series
  • Joint Operations Series
  • Armored Fist Series
  • Tachyon: The Fringe
  • F-22 – Series
  • F-16 Series

Quite a smart investment by THQ Nordic, so let’s hope that they make good use of it!
