Telltale Games has announced the return of three of its most popular series, with second seasons for Batman and The Wolf Among Us, whilst also revealing a fourth and final season for the Walking Dead.
The most surprising of the three announced seasons is The Wolf Among Us, which will be getting a second season following its debut back in 2014. Despite heavy rumors, it appeared as if they had been debunked, though the studio has now confirmed a new season will be released in the second half of 2018. Based on the adaptation of the comic Fables, The Wolf Among Us was met positively by fans, presenting a fairytale world with a dark twist. Bigby Wolf and Snow White will both return for the second season, which the studio describes as “a standalone product separate from season one.”
Arriving much sooner will be the follow up to the first season of the Batman Telltale series, with the first episode set for release in August, as part of a five-part series. Telltale has confirmed that players who played through the first season will be able to carry over the decisions they made into season two.
Finally, a finale to the Walking Dead series is also in development, which will arrive at some point next year. Clementine will reprise her role as the season’s protagonist in the final chapter, as the critically acclaimed series comes to a close.
