We haven’t heard much about Team Fortress 2 these last couple of years, which is strange considering how popular this shooter was a while back. Nevertheless, Valve is still updating the game regularly, and today we are taking a look at all the changes that came with the recent update. If the update still hasn’t been applied to your game, you need to restart Team Fortress 2.
Let’s start things off with the addition of a Steam Workshop tag for the War Paint submissions. The description for The Gas Passer got changed up a bit, The Ubersaw will now support the Isotope, Hot, and Cool Unusual effects, and The Nuke, The Snowmann, and The Fireman’s Essentials all got their models/materials updated. Certain Contracts got changed up a bit, so now the bonus objectives for the Thermal Thruster Contract and the “Defend the control point” objective can be completed faster as the number of times that you need to do them has decreased. The Loose Cannon can now Double Donk as intended, The Huo-Long Heater, The Sharpened Volcano Fragment, The Huntsman, and The Cow Mangler all got their afterburn duration corrected, and The Phlogistinator’s and The Gas Passer’s charge meters won’t overlap in the HUD anymore.
The Robo-Sandvich’s and The Fishcake’s charge meter will now recharge as intended, The Festive Black Box will now work for Black Box Contracts properly, and The Sandvich’s charge meter will now reset to 100% when you pick up a health kit. The second objective for the Brass Beast Contract got fixed, groups that have 5 or more people will get party invites and join requests as intended, and the party invite mode setting will now save when you exit Team Fortress 2.
