The Surge

Just as important as releasing a game is finding out if people like it or not. In fact, this could determine your success or failure. For the action-packed game The Surge, there was a lot of hype going into release. Its mix of brutal combat, tactical strategy, and RPG elements made it a very unique title. And since its release on May 15th a lot of people have played it, and a lot of people have had good things to say.

Just on Steam, for example, there have almost 1000 reviews, and a vast majority have said positive things. So, the team has decided to celebrate these reactions by compiling a “reaction trailer” showing off players on Twitch playing The Surge and reacting to what was going on in the game. You can check it out below.

As you can see, players are having fun, while also creating a lot of memorable moments themselves that’ll likely stick around a while. Aside from the trailer, the team promised on their Steam Page that the first public patch for the game will go live soon. They also note that they are listening to every bit of your feedback, so please keep telling them if things go wrong, as that’s the only way they can fix it.

What is The Surge? Well, it’s an action-fueled sci-fi RPG that has you working at the CREO Megacorporation. They’re “saving the world,” you know, until a unforeseen event happens on your first day on the job. When you wake up you’re strapped to an exoskeleton, a bunch of robots are trying to kill you, and your co-workers are now augmented freaks who also want to kill you.

To survive, you must use your exoskeleton and build it up into the ultimate fighting machine. Can you survive The Surge?
