The MMORPG Albion Online recently went through a major change brought by the Galahad update. This update brought not only many new lands to the game, but in many ways overhauled Albion to make it much better for players. With this update now being out for a few weeks, the team thought it would be wise to take stock on what the update revealed and talk about what’s coming up next for the game.
The team is going to make most of the equipment items in the game player crafted, with the exception of the Founder’s Gear. Not only will this add a little bit of a personal touch, this is also meant to help with mob item drops, as the players themselves will be fueling what the mobs drop via an NPC Black Market. To ensure that crafting is done at its finest, the team is likely going to remove essences as a requirement for refining.
As for the Reputation System, they’re going to be adjusting some things in the hope of allowing more PVP action in the yellow and red zones. The hope is to make PVP completely consensual in Albion Online so that no one is blind-sided or hunted without their knowledge or consent.
A favorite area for PVP, in the developers’ eyes, is Hell Gates–although the team is fair in noting that the area needs t be improved. In fact, a brand new map for the area is being tested out right now, and the rewards for it are being checked to ensure they are fair.
There are, of course, other things being adjusted in Albion Online, including performance issues, polishing up things, fixing bugs, and more. Players will see the results soon, though.
