StarCraft Remastered has finally had a release date revealed, and is set to launch on August 14th on Windows PC and Mac for $14.99/£12.99.
Those looking to pre-order the game can do so over on Battle.net, which will bring bonuses such as extra buildings including the Korhal Command Center, Aiur Nexus and Char HIve. Also with 4K support, StarCraft Remastered offers both LAN and modern online play, and will require StarCraft Anthology in order to play it.
This revamp heavily upgrades the Blizzard sci-fi RTS game along with its critically acclaimed expansion StarCraft: Brood War from start to finish, which comes bundled with the remaster.
Prepare to experience the real-time strategy game like never before, as players witness the intergalactic battle between the terran, protoss and zerg, in a hybrid of vastly improved graphics and audio combined with the classic gameplay that made StarCraft the hit it is today.
When the remaster goes live, those who have upgraded will gain three portraits and a free Stukoc Commander in StarCraft II. StarCraft Remastered certainly has a lot to offer in this new version, with remastered units, buildings, environments and more as well as broadened support resolution and improved game audio.
