Perhaps one of the most anticipated segments of EA’s conference at E3 has been Star Wars Battlefront 2, and today we’ve seen the debut of a new gameplay trailer which you can check out below.
Boasting familiar faces such as Yoda, Chewbacca and Kylo Ren, the trailer offers a sneak peek at what fans can expect to see from the highly anticipated sequel. There’s more to come from the game as E3 progresses over the next few days, with a full reveal of the multiplayer campaign expected to surface on June 13th.
One of the most requested features for Battlefront 2 is undoubtedly the cries for a single-player campaign. This has been taken on board by EA, and will most certainly be a part of the game when it releases on November 17th. As for what it entails, so far we know that we will be assuming the role of a TIE fighter pilot on the side of the empire, with more to be revealed in the next few days. This will be a particularly welcome revelation for many fans, who were understandably very vocal on their disappointment regarding the absence of an offline campaign in the last entry.
Fans can also expect to see appearances from characters from the likes of Rey and Darth Maul, in a successor that features areas from both of the immensely popular franchise’s trilogies. Also, EA will be hosting an EA Play event, in which the game will be playable following the conference.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 will release on November 17th on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
