The Star Ocean series is one of many popular Square Enix properties which is loved by fans. Today, in both a press release and on the official Star Ocean Twitter, it was announced that Star Ocean: Till the End of Time will be coming to the PlayStation 4 on the 23rd of May.
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time was originally released in 2004 for the PlayStation 2 to glowing reviews from sites like IGN and Metacritic. It is the third main game to come out of the series and has since become a sort of cult favourite. This is why many fans are excited to see it come to a current-gen console.
The game tells the story of two young friends by the names of Fayt Leingod and Sophia Esteed. Together, they embark on an adventure which reveals the greatest secret in the Star Ocean universe. Fans loved the story, combat, and the impressive cutscenes.
The version of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time that will be found on the PlayStation 4 will boast all functionality that comes with the system. This includes things like trophy support and remote play. Neither the press release of official tweet say anything about a graphical overhaul or any sort of “remastered” edition so we can only conclude that this will be the 2004 version of the game in all its glory.
