Square Enix has announced that Star Ocean: The Last Hope will be returning in the form of a 4K and full HD Remaster on PS4 and PC.
First releasing back in 2009 on Xbox 360, the game hit PS3 a year after in 2010. These versions offered Xbox 360 and PS3 a 720p resolution, whilst this new version will support up to 4K on PS4 Pro, whilst the in full-HD for PS4. As well as these visual advancements, there will also be support for trophy and share functions.
As for the PC version, this will mark the first Star Ocean game to release on this particular platform, launching on Steam with a variety of resolution option for you to play around with. There will also be mouse and keyboard support, plus controller support for the PC version. Not only that, there will be a screenshot function, which takes away the user interface in order for you to capture better shots whilst playing the game.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope 4K and Full HD Remaster is currently in development on PS4 and PC. As you can already see, there are advanced benefits on each version of the game. Particularly if you are a PC player, seeing as you’ll be able to experience a Star Ocean entry for the first time, plus the additional capabilities that playing on PC offers. As for PS4 players, it seems to be that this will be a far more advanced version over the PS3 release, which goes without saying really.
