The Tokyo Game Show is one of the most important gaming events the year has. Set in the land of the rising sun, it’s where many developers come together to show off new details and even new games to gamers in the country and around the world. Sony kicked off the Tokyo Game Show today, and had many new announcements. However, one for an all-new title is catching many peoples eyes, not because of the game itself per se, but because of who is working on it. This is Left Alive.
So, what makes the game so special? As we noted above, the dev team is working on it. It’s comprised of industry veterans from various titles and franchises that when mixed together truly make something special. We’re talking Toshifumi Nabeshima of the Armored Core series, Yoji Shinkawa, who was the character designer for the METAL GEAR series (who you can tell drew the initial art for the logo of Let Alive), and finally, Takayuki Yanase, who was the mech designer, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X. That’s quite a team, and here’s a team for the game they’re making.
Admittedly, we don’t know much about Left Alive. However, we do know that it takes place in a “dark, gritty world” and that it will be a survival shooter game. And, based on the fact that Yanase is part of the dev team, you can expect mechs of some sort to be in the game too.
Outside of that? It’s hard to say, but we are given clues of sorts throughout the trailer. The characters revealed in the logo, the shot of a destroyed city, the helicopters that blast through a hotel area, there are little details all around that teaser. What can you find that might give us more clues?
