In a recent interview, Sony’s CEO Kaz Hirai, said that Sony is going to start aggressively pursuing mobile gaming. While elaborating on what Sony plans to do with mobile ,Hirai made it a point to bring up Pokemon Go. Specifically he said: “Pokemon Go is a real game-changer, I’m very interested in the fact that it has the potential to really change the way people move, literally.” He went on to praise the augmented reality that makes players feel like they’re actually in the game is: “great innovative idea that’s going to lift all boats for the video game industry.” He went on to say that he would love to see the same augmented reality in Sony’s games in the future.
This could be seen happening pretty soon considering Sony has their own Mobile gaming division now, ForwardWorks Corporation. Though they haven’t announced any games yet for it, they’ve got their name out there so we can expect to see a lot from that in the future.
Another bit of info that came with that was that Sony plans on launching their PS4 Neo this week, although it isn’t confirmed and mostly just expected, be sure to keep your fingers crossed.
