GDC, or the Game Developers Conference, is a chance for developers, investors, and fans to meet up and talk what’s next in tech and gaming. As such, many of the biggest names in technology and video games will be present, and Sony is no exception. As one of the biggest names in TV, movies, and video games, their presence is pretty much a requirement, and on their PlayStation Blog, they’ve detailed some of what you can expect from them at GDC 2017.
Sony will be at booth 1202 in the South Hall, which is located right in front of the central entrance to the building. At their booth, they will have kiosks showing off their games as well as some of their newest tech, including the PSVR and PS4 Pro.
At the Tech Kiosks, they’ll have stations dedicated to PlayStation VR Aim Controller & 3D Audio, PlayStation VR Game Engine, PlayStation Developer Tools – SN Systems, PlayStation 4 Subdiv, PlayStation VR Trace Tool, and the PlayStation Magic Lab VR Tech Demo.
If you’re looking to test out some of the upcoming Sony games, then you’ll want to go to the gaming kiosks. There, you can play PS4 titles like Pyre, Full Throttle Remastered, Everything, Nex Machina, Gang Beasts, Cosmic Star Heroine, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Nidhogg 2, Sundered, Rain World, EITR, and GNOG. But also, special PS4 Pro kiosks will have GT Sport, Horizon Zero Dawn, and RiME. Finally, PSVR gaming stations will let you test out Farpoint, Dino Frontier, and Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin.
If you are a video game developer interested in working with Sony, they’re going to have an Ask Developer Relations table, where you can ask any questions you may have about working with Sony. They require that you check what times the table will be open for questions, so you’re not coming in at a bad time.
GDC 2017 takes place from February 27th until March 3rd.
