Having celebrated his 26th birthday recently, the blue blur will be commemorating the occasion by releasing an exclusive Sonic Mania Vinyl Album. Announced today by SEGA in partnership with Data Discs, the duo aim to bring another well-received album after previous releases such as Streets of Rage, OutRun and other SEGA products.

The album features select tracks by Tee Lopes, the composer of Sonic Mania, with gatefold art with the likes of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles traversing Act 2 of Green Hill Zone, making it a must have for any Sonic fan or soundtrack aficionado out there. So if you’re simply a fan of the series and a keen collector, or like nothing more than appreciating what makes up the audio atmosphere in one of the most celebrated platforming franchises of all time, then this is something worth investing in.

Fans looking to get their hands on the vinyl will come in three variations, giving you a choice of Sonic Blue, Classic Black and a Limited Edition version also, depending on your own personal preference. Head over to data-discs.com to pre-order, which will be available from late July.

Sonic Mania is set for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on August 15th, which can be pre-ordered digitally on all platforms.
