If you own an Xbox One and are a fan of the horror genre, then this will be the best news that you’ve heard in a while, as SOMA arrives on the Microsoft home console today.
The survival horror game from Frictional Games, the studio behind the popular Amnesia game, was previously released on PC and PS4 where it made its name as a horror force to be reckoned with. If you’re looking for a chilling experience, then you are most certainly in the right place, as SOMA offers up a deeply unsettling story surrounding consciousness, identity and all the things that make us human.
Players will head to PATHOS-II, the underwater facility with darkness in every corner. Heading into the deserted Atlantic Ocean, you’ll be stranded with little food and a dead radio, and you’ll be faced with a number of tough decisions to make to ensure you make it out alive, whilst also deciding the fate of the aquatic station.
The threats that you’ll face will surround self-aware robots, corrupted humans and more that will force you to make fight-or-flight decisions. Your task is to find the last remaining inhabitants and search of clues as to what has caused this chaos to ensue in the first place.
SOMA is now available on Xbox One, PC and PS4.
