Gears of War fans will be basking in the news that one of the most requested characters in the franchise is making their way to Gears of War 4. Rather fittingly being added today on Friday the 13th, former Kantus high priest Skorge is now available in the game.
Taking over as the general of the Locust military forces after the death of RAAM at the end of the first Gears of War game, Skorge made his first appearance in Gears of War 2. Leading the locust counterattack against the Serans, Skorge quickly became popular among fans of the franchise down to his sheer ferociousness and intimidating nature. Here is a quote from Benjamin Carmine, Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago discussing the character:
“So who the hell was that screaming Locust guy, anyway?”
“No idea. Crazy b*stard cut through a friggin’ tank, though. He’s gotta be a Locust big shot or something.”
“What? Like RAAM?”
“Maybe… but he made RAAM look like a goddamn pushover.”
After being heavily requested by fans to be added to Gears of War 4, a trailer has emerged unveiling Skorge, which you can check out below.
Skorge was a playable character in Gears of War 2 as part of the multiplayer, replacing General RAAM as the leader of Guardian. However, much to the dismay of many fans, his size and body was reduced to the size of a regular Kantus so his hitbox would replicate regular enemies.
Gears of War 4 is now available on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
