Given how expansive the roster is in Overwatch, there’s bound to be a number of changes put forward for characters at any given time. Some are much more common than others, with the likes of Roadhog, Bastion and a few select others often called upon to be nerfed or buffed in some shape or form.
Hanzo is no exception, as one of the heroes that is often under criticism based on his abilities. Enter the megathread on the Blizzard forums, that is a hotbed for suggestions on how Hanzo could be improved, with many pointing out the Scatter Arrow as a main issue. Many ideas allude to nerfing the Scatter Arrow, or at least reworking it to rebound off certain surfaces only, something that was suggested by NERFTHIS:
“How about changing it so scatter arrow will bounce off of a horizontal surface instead of scattering, and it only scatters when it hits a vertical surface?”
Urso, who began the thread, put forward the idea that Hanzo could use a wall to wall jump, similar to the technique used by Lucio:
“This wall climb will still only climb vertically and can only work as long as you are still moving with upward momentum.”
So whilst there’s new concepts on Hanzo’s abilities, there common theme overall is nerfing his arrows, making them less deadly by reducing their overall damage.
