One of the things that separates MMORPG from other titles is the freedom it often gives players in terms of skillsets and powers. In fact, for certain MMORPGs, having a wide variety of powers or skills for the players to choose from can help make the game very unique for every single person playing. This mindset was what the team of Ship of Heroes had when making their game. Their superhero MMORPG wants to be leaps and bounds above any game that has come before it, and give players the true chance to be their own hero, no matter what powers they want.

In fact, even though they’re not at launch yet, they’re still working on the game now. They already have 8 different power base sets, with more than 70 powers that you can pick and choose from! Oh, and that’s just the first installment that players can expect. And since you can also custom design your own hero outfit from basic templates and add your own flair, you’ll be styling and profiling as you walk through the world of Ship of Heroes.

But, what is Ship of Heroes? Well, its an MMORPG that blends the superhero genre with the sci-fi idea of a massive ship traveling between worlds. You are a member of the Justice Corps, a group of heroes that is trying to protect the universe from evil. And on your ship, the F.H.S. Justice, you’ll travel from planet to planet, doing missions, helping people and aliens, and of course, saving the day.

Ship of Heroes is being built with the Unreal Engine 4, and thus will boast powerful graphics and VFX. The game is expect to be out of Alpha by the end of the year. The video above shows off not only some of the powers you can use, but one of the central cities in the universe: Apothesis City.
