It’s been confirmed that Sega is making two new Sonic games which were announced today at San Diego Comic Con. These games seem to veer back towards the original Sonic styles unlike Sonic Boom.
To break it down it showed two Sonics running toward what is presumed to be a giant Robotnik with a tag line that reads:”When things look their darkest, even heroes need a helping hand.” Which implies that this game will be heavily Co-op based.
There wasn’t much more information released on this game aside from the development team that is working on it is Team Sonic, it’s being developed for Nintendo NX, PS4, and Xbox One. The game dubbed “Project Sonic” is scheduled for release next autumn.
The second game is more like a mash-up of Sonic 1, Sonic 2, and Sonic 3, while adding in some new zones and features. This title is supposed to be released next Spring.
Both of these titles are being developed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Sonic The Hedgehog and if you consider yourself a fan of the franchise and Sega these titles seem like something you would want to get your hands on.
