It will indeed be a big year for the publishers, with not one but two entries in the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog franchise showing up at E3. According to the series’ Chief Brand Officer, Ivo Gerscovich, Sonic Mania will be available at playable stations on the show floor. The publisher will also be letting attendees in on the first playable demo for Sonic Forces. According to the press release, the publisher will also have Sonic-themed giveaways for attendees who take the time to try out one of the titles.

Also available for play will be the new upcoming installment in the critically acclaimed Yakuza series, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. There will be Yakuza swag there as well, and also a look at the upcoming HD remake of the original PlayStation classic Yakuza Kiwami. Based off the original Yakuza title from 2005, the remake has been rebuilt from scratch to deliver an experience that is both nostalgic and state of the art.

There will be plenty more on display from the publishers at E3, including first-look trailers and live demos. According to Sega Europe Ltd. Senior Vice President John Clark, the lineup offered by the publishers this year will have “something for everyone.” For more information, be sure to visit the websites for Sega and Atlus.
