Some of you may know Secret World Legends while it was still called The Secret World. It had a complex and intriguing lore, a strange supernatural modern setting, lots of occult elements, and Lovecraftian entities, but it seems like that wasn’t enough to pull players in. Well, the game then relaunched in 2017 as Secret Worlds Legends, a free-to-play game. The relaunch improves on all of its former aspects and it adds lots of more exciting features.
The newest patch is rather huge, and it features the final chapter of the Tokyo storyline, a new Lair region, and more.
Update 2.1.3 will bring the final chapter of the Tokyo storyline. The way has finally been cleared, and one final destination awaits you in the eerie district of Kadan, the Orochi Tower. The eight-headed serpent resides in that tower, and it will provide hours of quality content and a story that spans over 20 sections. The Kantoku Temple is also now free to visit, and it’s a brand new Lair region that’s found in the northeast corner of Kaidan. The monsters that you’re going to face here are inspired by Japanese folklore. Lastly, The Haunted Cache can now be dropped by monsters, and it can give you a cute little Black Widow spider pet, a stunning new 6-piece outfit, the “Araneae’s Recluse”, and more awesome Halloween-themed items.
Now, let’s talk about the bugfixes that came in this Secret World Legends update.
Players will now be able to move items around on their Quick Access Bar, and items will no longer take up more than one slot in the Quick Access Bar. Scaling and hiding ultimate ability UI is now no longer possible as it’s now a part of the ability bar. The creatures that come in the first Bustin’ assault will count towards the “Heart of Darkness” area mission. Oni will no longer violently lash out at the air near the subway entrance.
As far as combat changes are concerned, one of the most important ones is the one concerning generic weapon non-specific signets. Ones that affect elite and basic abilities got their value increased by 60% and the Generic Signets that affect power abilities also got their values increased but only by 10% because they affect your primary and your secondary weapon attacks.
