Sandbox RPG My Time In Portia Launches On Kickstarter

Video games can be inspired by many things, and in some cases, games are inspired by many other titles and franchises that have come before it. This is the case with a new sandbox RPG title called My Time In Portia. The team crafted this game to mimic the beautiful art style of Castle in the Sky and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, while also taking inspiration gameplay wise from titles like Dark Cloud 2, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, and more. All the while, the team at Pathea making their world fully unique.

The team loves the simulation RPG franchise, and so they wanted to create one of their own, mixing and matching elements from other games in the genre to make something very special. You are a young boy who has been given land near the town of Portia. Your father has given you a shed, and you’re inspired to start crafting your life one build at a time. You’ll be building up your own life, and expanding the greatness (in potentia) that is Portia.

There are tons of things to do and explore in My Time In Portia, and that’s exactly what Pathea wanted. If you want to focus on your crafting skills, you can go and get resources to your heart’s content. Want to build a garden and grow your own food? Do it! Are you an explorer at heart? Desperate to earn your place in history? Well, there are dungeons for you to explore and battle in! It all depends on what you want to do.

Through your time in Portia you’ll grow to understand the backstory of the characters you meet and the world you are in. There’s more to it than meets the eye, but how you see it unfold will be based on your decisions.

This is just the tip of the iceberg that My Time In Portia is offering, and in fact, the team made a massive demo for you to try and see if it’s something you’d like. So go try it out, and if you like it, pledge to the Kickstarter.
