Before getting into the classes, what exactly is Revelation Online? It’s an MMORPG obviously, with a vibrant world full of ancient mystery, and the power of flight which you’ll be using to go on various adventures. The game has your standard PVP modes, a Last Man Standing arena, sieges for up to hundreds of players, and as far as PVE goes we have raids that requiring teamwork and tactical gameplay.
So what are the classes like? There are some pretty neat ones in the trailer, so let us begin!
Gunslinger is the first class shown, and as you can tell by the name it’s a ranged DPS class. They have high precise damage and advanced weaponry for mid-range skirmishes. Gunslingers have few control skills and if you manage to get close to them, they’re as good as dead.
Next up, we have Vanguard, the melee tank. They are like steel walls that strive in melee combat. Battles of attrition are what they do best, so don’t expect to deal burst damage with this class.
The next class is something that we don’t really see in games, and that is the Swordmage. They focus on powerful magic damage, mostly having area of effect spells in their arsenal. They invest all of their energy in elemental magic, making them weak on their own and prone to getting focused.
Finally, we have a summoner! SpiritShapers are also healers that are relatively easy to play and they also possess great survival skills. Expect them to be highly valuable in the game!
The Occultist is our next class. They have all sorts of attacks, ranging from damage-over-time to area-of-effect attacks, and they can even deal damage while siphoning enemy health. Occultists can also heal allies.
The last class on the list is the Blademaster. Blademasters have excellent control and escape skills that allow them to cut down countless enemies. They rely heavily on melee attacks and that leaves them open to ranged attacks.
You can watch the trailer for the classes in Revelation to see for yourself just how awesome they are!
