The MMORPG Revelation Online has slowly but surely been revealing more and more about itself. We’ve seen everything from the races in the game, to the areas where you can do all sorts of things, to the gear and weapons you can wear and wield. But now, they’re detailing one of the more important things in the game. The developers discuss Badges and Runes, what they do, and how to get them.

Why are badges and runes so important? Well, in Revelation Online, you use them to increase your stats in a significant way. You can even see where the badges go for your character in the character window. The trick for this is that you can only get a certain number of badges each week, meaning that you’ll need to be fast in order to make the most of the limited opportunity presented to you.

So, where do you get them? Well, there’s several ways. You can get badges at shops like Borfen Zur and Borfen Non. But you can only buy one set a week, or two badge fragments a week. You can also get badges doing story quests, or combine a certain amount of badge fragments to get a new badge.

Then, there’s runes, which boost the power of badges even further (although it only works on badges level 4 and higher) and they come in three types: Normal, Advanced, and Ultimate. And like badges, you can also make runes by combining rune fragments.

Also like the badges, you can buy runes at Borfen Zur and Borfen Non. And once you have runes, and the appropriate badges, you’ll be able to make yourself even stronger. Revelation Online will detail runes further soon, including the special effects they’ll add to badges. So stay tuned for more updates, and let us know what you think of this latest reveal.
