Red Hood Gets First Injustice 2 Trailer

Injustice 2 is out, and with it comes the chance to get even more fighters if you get the right edition. The team at NetherRealm Studios were quick to reveal how to get DLC characters, and who were going to be in those special editions. The first three characters for the DLC were revealed to be Starfire, Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat, and Jason Todd, aka Red Hood. Now, we have the first solo trailer for Red Hood in action, showing off just how different he is from the two other Robins that Injustice has brought so far.

What immediately separates him from Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne is the use of guns. Jason Todd brings two pistols to the show and uses them with brutal efficiency, even using the guns as projectiles when he’s out of bullets. Then, as if he wasn’t explosive enough, he uses a variety of explosives to help tilt things in his favor. Additionally, he was trained by Batman and has a lot of hand-to-hand combat skills to use. Needless to say, Red Hood is not to be taken lightly.

If you’re not familiar with Jason Todd, he was the second Robin after Dick Grayson became Nightwing and went to Bludhaven to start his own adventures. Jason got Batman’s attention by actually trying to tire jack the Batmobile.

Taking him under his wing, Batman realized he wasn’t what he expected, but Jason didn’t care. Eventually, this led to him being brutally beaten and killed by the Joker, and then resurrected later on (by two different means depending on continuity). But with his resurrection came a new look on life, one that said the punishment should fit the crime. He became the Red Hood, and doesn’t mind breaking the “One Rule” to get the job done. This has put him at odds with Batman and the rest of the Bat-Family.

To get Red Hood in Injustice 2, you have to either wait next month for the Fighter Pack to release, or, have the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of the game.
