After a few twist and turns since the original teaser image on the Rockstar website, it appears we finally have our answer: Red Dead Redemption 2 will release in fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It has been a rollercoaster of speculation and emotion over the past few days, with many wondering what Rockstar were getting at with the original teaser, with the majority assuming it was something Red Dead related. It was even rumoured that it may have not been related to the western shooter series at all, but merely a Halloween-related GTA V update instead. But all the second guessing has now been put to rest, as Rockstar Games released the following statement on their website: “Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.”
A trailer is expected to be released this Thursday. The game has been confirmed to be releasing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems, as of this time there is no word on whether RDR 2 will be coming to PC.
