Milestones are important in gaming, and what’s more, certain milestones can help determine how successful a game is, especially after launch. For example, if you launch a game and then continue to get players to play that game, and the user base stays active through it, you have a very successful title. This is the case with Rainbow Six Siege. For as Ubisoft notes on their blog, the tactical shooter game has just crossed 20 million players registered. Plus, over 2.3 million of them are logging on every single day to play the game. That’s impressive for a game that came out almost 2 years ago.
One of the things that truly helped out Rainbow Six Siege is the influx of content that Ubisoft game it. There are 30 different Operators that you can play as in the game. Plus, there’s 16 maps that have you going all over the world to have battles. It’s a lot, and Ubisoft is still not done delivering more content to players:
“Our community is growing and so is our ambition to make Siege a shooter that is here to stay,” says Nicolas Lefebvre, Product Director. “The next few weeks are very exciting as it marks the culmination of Operation Health and the release of our next season set in Hong Kong.”
If you didn’t know, Operation Health is a content initiative by Ubisoft to not just upgrade the game, but fix any and all issues that players are finding with it. Which includes new servers that’ll help with the stability of the game online. As for Hong Kong, that references Season 3 of Rainbox Six Siege Content. This will bring two new operators, new weapons, maps, and more to players.
So, if you’re one of the players who helped make this milestone happen, bat yourself on the back, and go save the day.
