Games can be inspired by anything, including past games or genres that have long since been prioritized. Take for example the puzzle games like Tetris Attack or Puzzle League. Sure, there are games that still have these mechanics, but they’re just not the same. Well, a new project on Kickstarter right now called Super Plexis aims to give players the feeling of those classic Super Nintendo games, but with a fantasy twist!
In the game, you’ll get to travel through a deep fantasy world, and use a wide variety of characters to attack the puzzles with, each has their own special abilities they can use to help you out. The world is full of things to unlock as well, giving you an even deeper experience. Plus, there’s a large multiplayer aspect to Super Plexis, so you can share the game with your friends!
The point of the Kickstarter is to get the game not just on iOS, but also to Android. Also though, they want to bring Super Plexis to consoles, and so the funds will help make a large Adventure Mode for the game. They’re also hoping to do a Boss Rush mode if they get enough extra funds. One of the consoles they’re eyeing in particular for the game is the Nintendo Switch, which they’ll totally do if they’re able to raise $20,000 before the project ends.
Super Plexis takes the classic “match 3” gameplay you know and adds an epic battle element to it. Because now, you’re fighting an opponent that is trying to mess you up. But fear not, because you can mess them up too. If you are able to get large chains, you can actually send “deadblocks” to gum up their board, making it much hard to make chains.
Add that to a Training Mode, and Endless Mode, and much more, and this game is full of puzzle-fighting goodness. Super Plexis will be on Kickstarter until May 6th and is seeking $6,000.
