Despite its incredible popularity, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has come under plentiful criticism as of late. Even though the game is still in the Preview program, the Xbox One version has been under heavy fire over its performance. Therefore, this will probably come as welcoming news, as the PUBG Xbox One update 2 has been sent out to all Xbox One platforms, in the hopes that it will fix a number of quality of life issues with the game, as well as bringing in performance optmizations for the battle royale experience.
The Xbox One development team for PUBG stated:
“The team will continue to evaluate areas for improvement, whether its client and server optimizations or monitoring the current “Car Meta”, PUBG’s Xbox One team writes. “Our second patch is focused on quality of life fixes (weapon recoil for example) as well as trying to resolve some of the stability issues that have been brought to our attention.”
The fixes implemented particularly focus on crash fixes, as well as tuning sensitivity, weapon recoil and localization updates also being brought in. Also, Team UI will now display voice chat statuses correctly, as well as another issue being fixed in which casting bar UI remains onscreen if you’re spectating a target who died whilst an item was being used from their inventory.
