Project Genom is a massive sci-fi MMORPG that is currently on Steam Early Access. This game features non-target combat, which seems to be popular these days. Now, as it is a Steam Early Access game, the project still has a lot of work ahead of it. To that end, the team do regular updates to provide status on these. The latest one has just been released.
First up, the team is working hard on the servers for Project Genom. They’re writing the code and fixing any and all bugs that may pop up during testing. They acknowledge that it will take time until they’re up to the quality the team wants, but they want this game to be fun to play as well as stable.
An interesting tidbit they added is that they NPCs are almost completely done and optimized. This will allow them to know what NPCs they can place and where to place them to truly develop a living world.
In a request made by fans, the team is working on the starting point of Project Genom. Fans wanted a more “friendly” training system as they entered the world, and that’s what they’ll get. But they’ll also get a more beautiful and detailed introduction to the world.
In regards to the story, the team has finished writing NPC dialogue that you’ll hear on the ARK. There are over 300 conversations that you can hear, and that means a lot of voiceover work is about to take place.
The team concludes by noting that this project is their lives. They’re woking on it tirelessly so that you can enjoy this massive experience. Any feedback you give them is welcome, and they hope that you’ll stick with them as the game comes closer to its final release.
