When it comes to sequels, everyone wants the familiar tone of what that made the original great, but also something new, so that it’s not the “same old same old.” This goes especially for video games, because if the sequel is too similar to the original, then it’ll be seen as a waste of potential. For Destiny 2, there’s a lot of hope that the game will keep some elements of the original, but make big leaps and bounds to make it an even greater RPG.
Fans of Destiny are weighing in on some ideas they have for Destiny 2 that they’d love to see come true. One of the big ones is in regards to how the story is portrayed:
“I’d love for the lore to be part of the playable story rather than a separate grimoire, even if it’s in the form of a book that you pick up and read in-game.”
Other requests include new classes to play as. Though as one player notes, it appears as though the three main classes will remain the same in the forms of Titan, Hunter, and Warlock. But, they also admit that the subclasses could get expanded. This wouldn’t be too bad of a thing in their eyes.
A very big request by many players was that the PvP and PvE elements would not only be separated but that the nerfs and buffs for them would be separate as well. One player literally made a paragraph repeating this phrase over and over again.
One player made a list of requests, with some very diverse choices. These ranged from being able to customize your sparrow, to being able to craft your own weapons in the game. Or, a weapon evolution tree.
