Daedalic Entertainment has released a PC playable demo for their upcoming title Silence. This single-player fantasy adventure is a sequel to 2009’s The Whispered World.
Silence Official Release Trailer
Playable Demo on Steam
The playable demo offers a “limited” experience, but it should be enough to extend the hype through to release. Daedalic has been showing the game at conferences all year, like PAX West, Gamescom and Comic-con. The full game will be available November 15 on PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One™ and Playstation 4™.
The game promises three playable characters, and a “reunion with old friends.” Presumably, some of the characters from The Whispered World will be making an appearance. To download the PC demo, click here to visit the game’s Steam page.
Silence is rated T for teen, and the story follows Noah, 16, and his younger sister Renie. Nevertheless, the dark story has Noah searching for Renie in a world where “dark creatures haunt towns and cities and ravage this once serene place.”
A sequel in both story and spirit, this new title advances on the original point-and-click adventure style of The Whispered World. A third dimension on the character models should make for a more immersive gaming experience.
Fans looking forward to the title should be able to breath a sigh of relief with the playable demo and release trailer. Daedalic first announced the game almost three years ago at the end of 2013.
