Food and drink are often key for many gamers when embroiled in lengthy sessions of their favorite games. Destiny 2 will be no exception to this rule when it releases next month, and a Reddit user has come up with a diet that will keep your energy levels up whilst hammering the highly anticipated sequel at launch.
User KingLeil, who has dubbed it the “Shoot stuff and stay awake” diet, firstly encourages players to avoid heavy foods and carbs such as the stereotypical gamer foods like Doritos, fizzy drinks, energy drinks and pop tarts. It is also advised that you drink plenty of water, coffee, and vitamin infused fluids where possible. Be sure to keep the coffee to a minimum however, since heavy consumption is going to have a similar negative effect to drinking energy drinks. Green tea is a good substitute, given it’s health benefits and variety.
For edible snacks, KingLeil has gone for nuts such as almonds, walnuts, macadamia and pecans. These are what are being referred to as your “primary ammo,” whilst your “Energy” ammo focuses on fresh meat, either cooked or smoked. You can even bring in sliced meats such as turkey, chicken, low fat beef or even venison. As for your “Power” ammo, bring in something heavier like fruit chips such as banana, tomato, peach, pear or some tofu.
