There is little doubt that Overwatch has a massively dedicated fanbase, though there may be one fan in particular that stands out to the rest. Treeboydave, who isn’t even a professional player of the game, is the first Overwatch player to surpass the level 4,000 mark.
Treeboydave is currently sitting at Level 4,035, putting 2,508 hours into the game. This has prompted a few players on his Reddit thread to question the amount of time that was required on average per day, which was calculated as to having to level up 7.93 times per day since launch. Treeboydave, who is currently unemployed according to the thread, did manage to get the lion’s share of the levels whilst working in a shift job, racking up 3,300 levels at this time.
The player , who’s favorite hero to play as is Mei, now spends the majority of his time streaming the game, doing so between 1pm and 10pm nearly every day. The goal wasn’t achieved intentionally, as the player had his own goal to work towards by putting in 150 hours of game-time with each hero in Overwatch, something that he is also getting close to achieving. Hopefully he can rack this up before Blizzard decides to add a new hero to the evolving roster. Either way, surpassing level 4,000 is a monumental achievement, and something that has taken a lot of time and dedication to do.
