Overwatch Open Announced

overwatch_hero-art_blizzconIf we are to simply put it, Overwatch is getting more coverage and hype than any other game. Already in Beta, we knew that it will become a part of Esports scene.

After the game changed, regarding Hero Limit, the biggest tournament has yet to come. ELEAGUE and FACEIT are partnering up to create a worldwide event that will unite players across the globe and test their skills against each other.

So far, we know that the first phase of this tournament will be online, where teams in Europe and teams in North America will battle for the second phase. And, the second phase or, as they call it, Grand Finals will be held in Atlanta.


Surely, this looks extremely promising and we can’t wait to see the clash of regions. Everything will start on July, 23rd 2016. Online battles will be held from July, 25th to 28th. These battles will decide which teams will continue. The number of teams that will participate in Finals is limited to 8 per region, so we anticipate a hell of a fight. Everything will be covered by, so we won’t miss a thing.

If this wasn’t enough to make you apply, then the $300,000 prize pool surely will.
